Silgranit is the trademark name for Blanco's own composite granite material used in their sinks.
Silgranit is comprised of 80 natural granite mixed with a
tough acrylic bonding resin that increases durability in comparison
to a full granite sink.
The acrylic bonding resin is what
make silgranit sinks highly resistant to scratching and chips; the
material also withstands heat up to 280 degrees C.
The colour
in silgranit runs throughout the sink to ensure the material does
not fade over time.
Cleaning can be done with Blanco's own
silgranit sink cleaning agent that can be found here, however since
it does not react to acids and alkalis most hold house cleaners
should work fine with it. However if you are in doubt it is safer to
always check first.
