Fragranite is the trademark name for Franke's own composite granite material used in their sinks.
Fragranite is comprised of 80 natural granite mixed with a
tough acrylic bonding resin that increases durability in comparison
to a full granite sink.
The acrylic bonding resin is what
make Fragranite sinks highly resistant to scratching and chips; the
material also withstands heat up to 280 degrees C.
The colour
in Fragranite runs throughout the sink to ensure the material does
not fade over time.
Now SilkSheen colours are available in
certain models. SilkSheen offers all the advantages of Fragranite
but with a silky smooth textured surface.
